Boot Camp (Why??)
All right! so it's 6:30-ish and I'm already up and about to leave the house so that I can pummel my body in what Miss Quin calls "Boot Camp".
yay :(
I don't technically have to go but I didn't do anything for two months over the holidays so I figure it's about time to get fit (or fitter) again. That brings me to the time- halfway through week 4 in term 1. Great! This is just about the time that exam dates are written into diaries, assignments looming and just the general stress levels increasing. This is not helped by the fact that the homework we are given is rudimentary and really has no bearing on the assessment.
Two days ago it was my first Valentines Day with a boyfriend *squeal* and he came over and we had a very romantic (awkward-ish), formal dinner. It was really sweet because we set up a little table in the tv room and it had a tablecloth and roses and everything. Then we ate and just chilled on the couch. By the way, I'm mildly annoyed at him. We've been together for almost eight months now and he had to go and give me glandular fever didn't he? For five days right before the start of grade nine, I felt like death. But I got better before school because I decided that I wasn't missing my first day at the top of middle school.
Middle school... *sigh* it's going past so quickly. (Gosh I sound like I'm 50 or something) The other day we had to put in a written application to the teachers if we wanted to be considered for Middle Years Captain. We all put them in (Sarah D, Olivia N, Cameron R, Gabby E, Jemma B, Laura D, Jack R, Rowan W, Tyler K and Bella for chapel leader) and then a couple of days later, we did a speach in front of the whole middle school to convince them to vote for us. Basically the students voted and over the weekend Miss Thomas tallied them and everyone had an interview. I was a bit dissapointed because I was called in and Mr Bowen said, straight to my face "I'm going to be honest with you Ariel. You didn't get it" and then he rabbited on about being part of the counsel and everything. It turns out Ali and Tyler got captaincy and then Sarah and Jack got vice (and I'm pretty sure Bella got chapel!).
Anyway, I've got to go and attack my fat.
